Paula Álvarez is a 16-year-old artist and filmmaker from Asturias, Spain.

As an artist, she works across digital and traditional media, often using minimalist line art and expressive colors to create raw, emotional pieces that she shares on Instagram.

As a filmmaker, she co-directed and storyboarded her first short film, Quelle Odyssée! (2021), with her high school. The following year, she independently wrote, directed, and produced the LEGO stop-motion short ¿Te unes?. In 2024, she attended Cinemacamp, where she collaborated as screenwriter and head of production on Y que cumplas muchos más.

In 2025, she joined the Prime Video and CIMA production Giro de Tornas as a camera operator and storyboard artist, working alongside director Laura Guobadia Aimufua, mentor Alicia Moncholí, and cinematographer Lucía C. Pan.

Her latest project, the short film quién es jane?, was completed a few months ago and will premiere before the end of 2025. 💫
