Paula Álvarez is a 17-year-old filmmaker from Asturias, Spain. She has been creating short films since 2021, working across screenwriting, direction, cinematography, and editing. Her most recent project is “quién es jane?” (“who is jane?”) (2025).
Her experience includes a solo LEGO stop-motion short ¿Te unes? (2023), attending Cinemacamp and collaborating as a screenwriter and head of production in Y que cumplas muchos más (2024), joining a Prime Video and CIMA’s Giro de Tornas (2025) as camera operator and storyboard artist working alongside director Alicia Moncholí and DoP Lucia C. Pan and most recently, independantly writing, directing, shooting, producing and editing short film “quién es jane?” (2025).
Paula is eager to gain more experience in professional productions — whether assisting on set, shadowing experienced directors, acting or contributing in any way. For collaborations or opportunities, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
